Two legends clashed on Friday at the Scotiabank Arena.
The Golden State Warriors recently won both games of a back-to-back set, the latter of which came against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. Despite being far from the West Coast, the Warriors’ presence at the Scotiabank Arena drew a well-known name to the court. Khabib Nurmagomedov, the UFC legend, was watching the game up north in Toronto.
Nurmagomedov, who went undefeated in mixed martial arts, is a well-known legend in the combat sports world, and Stephen Curry appears to have recognized the retired fighter. Following the Warriors’ victory, Curry handed Nurmagomedov his game-worn jersey. (According to ClutchPoints)

Curry finished with 25 points after hitting seven three-pointers. The two-time MVP also tallied six rebounds and six assists.

The Warriors trailed for much of the first half, with the Raptors leading by as many as nine at one point. However, the second half told a different story. Golden State outscored their opponents 32-19 in the third quarter, giving them a comfortable lead heading into the fourth. They took advantage of it, winning 120-105.

Forward Jonathan Kuminga, who played alongside Stephen Curry, had 24 points and six rebounds. Moses Moody and Klay Thompson scored 17 and 14 points, respectively.
The Raptors had a forgettable night, with Scottie Barnes leaving the game in the first half due to a hand injury. Soon after, Barnes was sidelined indefinitely due to a fracture in his third metacarpal bone.

The Warriors will face a tough challenge on Sunday when they host the league-leading Boston Celtics at the TD Garden.
