DONE DEAL : Edmonton Elks has announces the trade of another 25-year-old offensive lineman

The Edmonton Elks have acquired American offensive lineman Jonathan Buskey.

This past season, the six-foot-seven, 330-pound blocker played for Elizabeth City State University, a Division II program in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The Mobile, Alabama native played eight games for the Vikings and competed in the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Pigskin Showdown this past December.

The 25-year-old began his academic career at Coffeyville Community College and also attended Chowan University. In 2018 and 2019, he received honorable mention in the KJCCC All-Conference.

On Saturday, June 8, the Elks will meet the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Commonwealth Stadium to kick off the regular season for 2024.
