The Calgary Stampeders have signed Christian Joachim, a Canadian defensive back.
The six-foot, 192-pound defender went undrafted in the 2023 CFL Draft but attended training camp with the Stampeders before being cut.
The 27-year-old played 20 games for the Carleton University Ravens, totaling 66 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and three pass knockdowns.
Joachim was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised mostly in Montreal. At the 2023 CFL Invitational Combine, he did a 4.77-second forty-yard dash, a 30.5-inch vertical jump, a 114-inch broad jump, a 7.59-second three-cone drill, a 4.47-second short shuttle, and eight bench press reps at 225 pounds.
The Stampeders will host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium on Friday, June 7, to kick off the 2024 regular season.
