Gary Lineker advises Wolves hero to accomplish something no Englishman has ever done before.

Gary Lineker believes Wolves manager Gary O’Neil has the potential to do something absolutely extraordinary.
Gary Lineker feels Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Gary O’Neil has the potential to become the first English head coach to win the Premier League.

The former Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona striker, who hosts BBC Match of the Day, has been quite impressed with O’Neil’s progress at Wolves in such a short time. Alan Shearer, a Premier League icon, and Micah Richards, an ex-Manchester City player who co-hosts a podcast with Lineker, have also been following O’Neil’s progress.

You never know'... Gary Lineker has now made a very interesting prediction about Gary O'Neil

“Big shout out to Gary O’Neil, my god what a job he’s doing, unbelievable,” Shearer said on The Rest Is Football. Lineker then concurred, saying, “He knows what he’s talking about, and you can see the players believe in what he does.” “He plays aggressive, attacking, and pressing football.”Perhaps we have failed to identify outstanding English coaches, as evidenced by the fact that no English coach has won a Premier League title. So, perhaps he’ll be that special coach! I don’t want to hype him up too much, but you never know,” Lineker added.

It’s no surprise that O’Neil has galvanized so much, since Wolves, who have barely spent a dime under the new manager’s watch, are now in the Premier League top ten. Wanderers fans may begin to dream about European football if the current run continues, since they are only four points behind West Ham United in eighth.
Not only that, but the Old Gold are in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, with Coventry City visiting Molineux on March 16. If Wolves win, they will advance to the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium.

Richards does not want to get carried away about O’Neil, however, as he rejected Lineker’s Premier League title claim. “It’s difficult because we assumed that about Graham Potter. It all hinges – with all due respect to Wolves fans – on his next move,” Richards stated.

“Can he do it in a team under more pressure? Because, ultimately, the reason why players like Antony and Martial aren’t performing well at Manchester United is due to the club’s monitoring. “You have to deal with the outside noise while also getting the players to buy into what you’re doing,” Richards explained.
