Miami Gardens, Florida (AP) The Miami Dolphins agreed Monday to sign former Tennessee Titans center Aaron Brewer to a three-year, $21 million contract, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.
The individual spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity because the agreement had not yet been formalized.
Brewer will most likely replace Connor Williams, Miami’s starting center for the previous two seasons who is currently a free agent. Williams was Pro Football Focus’ top-rated center in 2023 before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in December.
Brewer, 26, started every game the previous two seasons and has played center and guard. He joined the NFL in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of Texas State.
Brewer will join a unit that will welcome back veteran left tackle Terron Armstead, who considered retiring at the end of last season.
On Monday, the Dolphins lost their star right guard, Rob Hunt. He signed a $100 million contract with the Carolina Panthers.
