South Carolina freshman has a message for the Auburn Tigers ahead of their matchup in the SEC Tournament

Auburn has a big game coming up against South Carolina.
Auburn will begin its postseason adventure against a South Carolina club seeking retribution after losing by 40 points in Neville Arena.

The Gamecocks defeated Arkansas on Thursday, setting up a rematch with the Auburn Tigers in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals. This game was competitive for a while, but South Carolina pulled away late to defeat an Arkansas team that had been playing superior basketball.

Freshman forward Collin Murray-Boyles led the Gamecocks with 24 points on 11-15 shooting from the floor. He finished with seven rebounds, two assists, and four steals in the Gamecocks’ triumph.

After the game, Murray-Boyles was asked about the upcoming game against Auburn and responded, “It will be tough, but they ain’t got The Jungle no more.”

While the Auburn Tigers will not be playing in Neville Arena, which is one of the top settings in college basketball, thousands of supporters will still be there to support the team.

Auburn fans always show up in Nashville, as evidenced by the Tigers’ football game against Vanderbilt last season, which was packed with Tiger fans.

Murray-Boyles’ letter certainly made it to Auburn’s locked room, so Bruce Pearl will be able to utilize it as bulletin board fodder as they prepare for a big game in the SEC Tournament.

This will be a difficult matchup, but if Auburn plays effectively and values possessions, they will win the basketball game.
