Iowa star Caitlin Clark targeted by West Virginia coach with a bold speech that he could end up regretting

Fans could not believe the audacity!
Caitlin Clark’s star rises, so does the target on her number 22 Iowa Hawkeyes jersey. As her final NCAA Tournament approaches, her objective is larger than ever.

Just moments after the official March Madness brackets were published, Iowa’s possible second-round opponent West Virginia’s coach, Mark Kellogg, lost no time in targeting the NCAA’s all-time top scorer. He was begging for controversy when he addressed Clark by name in this daring speech.

“I already told them,” he told the throng assembled in West Virginia to watch the bracket release, “let’s win one and then send Caitlin Clark packing.”

Iowa faces a long trip to the Final Four.
The Albany region of the women’s NCAA Tournament bracket is tremendously stacked, but West Virginia was most likely not the first team Clark noticed in their quadrant before Kellogg’s fighting words went viral.

The Hawkeyes (No. 1 seed) are joined by No. 2 seed UCLA and perhaps the region’s finest No. 3 seed, LSU. Since last year’s NCAA Championship game ended in turmoil between Clark and LSU’s Angel Reese, college basketball fans have been waiting for a repeat. If they meet this year, it will be in the Elite 8, with a ticket to the Final Four at stake.
Lisa Bluder’s team cannot overlook No. 4 seed Kansas State, which defeated them in November. If both teams advance to the Sweet 16, they will meet each other.

Social media believes Clark will make WVU coach eat his words.
Clark’s final dance begins with hosting the first two games in Iowa City. The bulletin board material provided by West Virginia’s coach heightens the anticipation for Clark’s final game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. There is only one problem: the No. 8 seed Mountaineers must first win a tough first-round game against No. 9 Princeton.

“He’s a genius, providing motivation for Princeton AND Iowa at the same time,” one Twitter user remarked in response to the video.

“Woof. “You asked for it,” one fan said in surprise.

“It was a horrible idea. “Clark might go for 50 against these guys,” added another.
