Many are eager to see the rematch between Iowa and LSU.
The Iowa Hawkeyes, who recently won the Big Ten Tournament, will face a difficult route to the NCAA Women’s Tournament Final Four. The Hawkeyes face a potentially difficult battle against No. 4 seed Kansas State in the Sweet 16, as well as the prospect of meeting No. 2 UCLA or No. 3 LSU in the Elite Eight.
Jason McIntyre, a Fox Sports pundit, chastised the Selection Committee for making a “horrible” blunder in bracketing.

“Yes, give Caitlin Clark the Duke treatment.” Given what she does for a living, she is actually larger than Duke was at his peak. If she loses in the Elite 8, the Final Four, which will still have amazing quality, will be significantly less compelling.”
Fans want to see a rematch
Many fans are ready for a rematch between Iowa and LSU, although it is expected to take place in the Final Four rather than earlier in the tournament. The NCAA Women’s Tournament is slated to begin next weekend.
The 2023 NCAA championship game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the LSU Tigers surpassed viewership records, with an average of 9.9 million viewers. Clark and Reese contributed to the high viewership with their standout performances and on-court rivalry, especially Reese’s iconic gesture toward Clark.
In the championship game, Reese and the Tigers defeated Clark and the Hawkeyes 102-85 to earn the championship trophy.
