DONE DEAL : Kilmarnock FC has announced the signing of another fantastic star

Goalkeeper Dylan Brown has signed his first professional contract with Kilmarnock FC.

The shot-stopper, who recently turned 16, has played extensively for our Under 18s this season and has been warming up alongside our first-team goalkeepers on matchdays.

Die-hard Brown, a Killie supporter who joined our ranks at the age of eight, has signed a contract at Rugby Park until 2027. He said: “I am happy to sign my first professional deal; after being here for eight years and coming through the academy, it feels fantastic.

“It’s been a good journey, and I’ve had a lot of help along the way. It’s difficult to put into words.”

“It’s an emotional day for my family, and they’re really proud, too.

“I’m a Killie supporter; they’re the closest team to me, and I’ve had season tickets since I was a kid, which makes it even more meaningful.

“Playing with the Under 18s has been a fantastic experience, and I hope to continue having matches under my belt.

“Dealing with someone like Chris Burke on a daily basis is fantastic, and then there’s Derek McInnes, who is beyond experienced.

“Fraser Stewart has been huge for me too, he wants everything to be tidy in training so it will be in a match, he has so much experience so it’s great to lean on that.”

Fraser Stewart, Kilmarnock’s head of goalkeeping, said: “We are thrilled to sign Dylan to his first professional contract.

“He has worked well throughout the age groups, but now the real job begins.

“He’s a Killie fan and an Ayrshire lad, hopefully he’s got a bright future at Rugby Park ahead of him.”
