BREAKING NEWS : Dallas Mavericks break record that no one thought was possible

The Dallas Mavericks faced the Utah Jazz at home on Thursday, looking to win seven of their last eight games. The Mavericks not only demolished Utah, but also proved that they can compete in the Western Conference.

The 113-97 victory over the Jazz raised expectations for what this team can accomplish in the future. Furthermore, the Mavericks rose to sixth position in the Western Conference because the Sacramento Kings lost to the Washington Wizards. If Dallas maintains this level of play to the end of the season, they may fall out of play-in contention.

Luka Doncic led the scoring charge against Utah with 34 points, which was a relief for many fans after his dreadful 6-27 shooting performance against the Spurs. Doncic had eight assists and four steals in the win.

Dallas Mavericks set a record that no one thought possible.
Kyrie Irving also had an outstanding game, although only scoring 16 points. With seven assists, he became an all-around point guard, and he even demonstrated his hops by smashing down a Doncic lob attempt.

Dallas’ big win over the Jazz last night also set a team mark for most dunks in a single game. The previous record was blasted out of the water when the Mavericks recorded 18 dunks against the Jazz, earning them a new nickname in the process. The Lobby City Mavericks.

They also set a new mark for the most dunks in a single game this season. The previous record was held by the Los Angeles Lakers, who had 17 dunks in a win over the Jazz earlier this season. Dallas is not usually known as a club that prefers to play in the paint, so this new trend has startled fans.

Everyone appeared to get a piece of the rim Friday night, including Mavericks center Daniel Gafford. Gafford finished with 24 points and shot 10-11 from the field. All ten of his made-field goals were at the rim.

While Dallas has emerged as an inside danger over the previous month, this game was the icing on the cake for fans who enjoy witnessing high-flying dunks. Both P.J. Washington and Derrick Jones Jr. were living above the rim, grabbing every lob that came their way.

This was a record no one expected the Mavericks to break before the season began, and they are establishing themselves as a club that thrives above the rim. Layup lines are no longer boring since watching this team before a game is like watching a dunk competition.
The Mavericks have now won three consecutive games and will seek to continue that momentum into their road matchup against the Utah Jazz on Monday. Stay tuned for more information on Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Daniel Gafford, and Dallas Mavericks basketball.
