Pili scored a new career best of 37 points on December 1, 2023, against No. 1 South Carolina, which drew national notice. Pili matched that total against her previous team, USC, on January 19, 2024.

Perhaps most importantly, Pili has had a significant impact off the court this season.

Pili has drawn crowds of Indigenous and Polynesian fans wherever the Utes have gone in the 2023-24 season, hoping to see a glimpse of themselves succeeding on the court.

“It’s honestly really crazy to me that I’m one of the first ones to be in this position with where I come from and what backgrounds I have,” she added. “It makes me so happy after Games to have little girls Everyone comes up to me and tells me how much of a role model I am for these young females. They’ve never had someone to look up to before, and now I am that person. It’s a lot of pressure, but I see it as a blessing to be that person for others. I wish I had grown up with someone like that to look up to and emulate.”
