REPORT: The Los Angeles Rams Announce Massive News Regarding Their 25-Year-Old Wide Receiver.

Last season, the Los Angeles Rams’ receiving corps improved as compared to 2022. In 2022, they ranked 21st in receptions, 24th in targets, 27th in receiving yards, 28th in receiving scores, and 23rd in receiving first downs; in 2023, they ranked 17th in receptions, 14th in targets, 10th in receiving yards, 15th in receiving touchdowns, and 10th in receiving first downs, respectively.

The Rams addressed the issue in free agency by re-signing Demarcus Robinson and a previous fifth-round pick.

Tyler Johnson spent his first two seasons with Tom Brady.

The Buccaneers selected Johnson in the fifth round, 161st overall, of the 2020 NFL Draft. Johnson spent two full seasons with Tom Brady, making 48 receptions on 72 targets for 529 yards and two scores in 31 regular-season games, including six starts. He also caught seven passes on 13 targets for 76 yards in six playoff games.
Johnson started three of 14 games in 2020 and had 12 receptions on 17 targets for 169 yards and two touchdowns. In four playoff games, he caught two passes on four targets for 31 yards.
Johnson appeared in 17 games, starting three, in 2021, and had 36 receptions on 55 targets for 360 yards. He also had five receptions on nine targets, totaling 45.

Tyler Johnson spent 2022 playing for three different teams.
The Houston Texans claimed Johnson from waivers on August 31. Johnson appeared in two games for the Texans but did not collect any statistics. On October 25, the team released him.

On October 31, the Buccaneers signed Johnson to their practice squad.
The Las Vegas Raiders signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract on January 25, but waived him on May 15.

The Rams signed Johnson on May 30. During the last round of roster cuts, the team waived him and later re-signed him to the practice squad. Johnson spent the majority of the season on the practice squad, but was elevated to the active roster in Week 18, when he had two receptions on three targets for eight yards and one score.
