LATEST UPDATE : QPR are now leading Watford in a race to sign 31-year-old midfielder with 26 goals.

Since moving from Cambridge United to Kenilworth Road in 2017, the 31-year-old has made 182 appearances for the Hatters in all competitions, scoring 26 goals.

Despite his reputation as a valuable member of the team, Berry has failed to find regular playing time as Luton moved up to the Premier League this season.

The midfielder has participated in 15 top-flight games and scored twice, but he has only started two, totaling 305 minutes of Premier League action.

Berry missed out on a regular starting spot this season due to Luton’s summer signings, with Ross Barkley and Albert Sambi Lokonga ahead of him in the midfield hierarchy.

According to Football Insider, Berry’s seven-year stint with Luton could come to an end at the end of the 2023-24 season.

According to reports, Championship clubs Watford and QPR are interested in signing the 31-year-old during the summer transfer season.

Watford are prepared for life under Tom Cleverley, who was appointed manager at Vicarage Road after impressing in an interim role over the past month.

Marti Cifuentes has also had a great impact at his club this season, steering QPR away from relegation jeopardy in the Championship and now hopes to advance up the second-tier standings with the R’s next campaign.

The Black and Red are presently ninth in the Eastern Conference table after ten games, hoping to reclaim a playoff position after missing out last year.

United already have a number of English-experienced midfielders, including ex-Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison and former Leeds United enforcer Mateusz Klich.

In recent years, the Washington-based team has used the English market to find new managers, with Wayne Rooney taking over at Audi Field from July 2022 to October 2023.
