Rotherham United has issued its retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season via their official website.
The Millers have stated that eleven players will leave the club at the end of their contracts, with five loanees returning to their respective teams.
Tolaji Bola, an Arsenal Hale End Academy product, will start on a new chapter in his career next season after being released by Rotherham United.
Bola signed Rotherham United in August 2021 after spending thirteen years on the books of Premier League club Arsenal, where he began his career aged nine.
In the January transfer window, he moved to League One club Burton Albion in search of regular first-team football.
Bola, a fullback by trade, is leaving Rotherham United after nineteen matches across all competitions and three assists.
The Millers have also confirmed that another Nigerian defender, Femi Seriki, has returned to his parent side Sheffield United.
The 22-year-old made 10 Championship games for Rotherham United after joining on loan in the winter transfer window.
Twelve first-team players are still under contract and have been retained for the 2024-2025 season, including Super Eagles prospect Hakeem Odoffin.
Odoffin was one of the club’s top players in the recently finished season, scoring four goals in thirty-eight league games.
