Ticketmaster has joined Rotherham United ahead of the start of 2024-25 season ticket sales, a move the club hopes will improve the ticketing experience for supporters.
Rotherham United, an English Football League (EFL) team, has established a partnership with the innovative ticketing service Ticketmaster.
As part of the agreement, the brand has been named the club’s official ticketing partner for the next five years.
The internationally recognized ticketing firm joins the Millers ahead of the official commencement of 2024-25 season ticket sales on May 15, 2024. The club thinks that this decision will improve and enhance the ticketing experience for supporters attending matches at AESSEAL New York Stadium and on the road.
Furthermore, the partnership will include a brand new ticketing website managed by Ticketmaster that customers would be able to easily navigate. In addition, the Millers will introduce digital season tickets for the first time, thanks to its ticketing partners.
The organization believes that this move will not only improve fan convenience but also cut lines at the gates on game days. Additionally, customers will be able to carry their 2024-2025 season tickets on their phones and enter the gates using the same contactless approach.
The installation of Ticketmaster will not spell the end for fans who want a paper season ticket card. Tickets for the 2024-25 season will be available upon request during the application stage, as they have been in prior years.
Cameron Harris, Rotherham’s Head of Supporter Services, stated, “The ability to digitalise our season ticket offering will not only make it more simple for supporters in the modern day, but it will help reduce queues at turnstiles on match days. A more efficient checkout process will allow fans to purchase a ticket not just faster, but also more easily. With the potential to create a more complex stadium map, spectators will be able to see exactly where they are purchasing tickets within the bowl.
“The ability to run sophisticated marketing campaigns will help us to continue to engage the wider community and reach supporters and families who may not have visited us before.”
