The British Columbia Lions announced on Thursday that they had signed American running back Jordan Terrell. They also released Denzel Williams, an American defensive back. RB Jordan Terrell-Barton (5’10”, 210 lbs, 23 y/o)
Jordan Terell played 37 games for Barton. He carried 969 times for 5,487 yards (5.7 yards per carry) and 44 touchdowns for the program. He rushed for over 1,600 yards in each of his last three seasons. Terrell also caught 39 passes, totaling 320 yards and two touchdowns.
During his final season, he ran 268 times for 1,732 yards (6.5 average) and 11 touchdowns. In his final game with the program, he carried for a school record 403 yards and four touchdowns.
Terrell was chosen to the AFCA Division II All-America Second Team in 2023. He was named All-South Atlantic Conference twice.
During his pro day, he ran a 4.5-second 40-yard sprint, a 4.3-second shuttle, and a 7.17-second three cone drill. He also did a 35-inch vertical, 21 bench reps, and a 10-foot broad jump.
DB Denzel Williams – Villanova (5’10”, 190 pounds, 26 y/o)
Denzel Williams was first signed by BC in January. He played for Villanova in 2020 and 2021, starting in all 15 games. He had 17 solo tackles, 11 assisted tackles, 7 passes defended, 2 interceptions, and 2 tackles for loss with the program. He was named to the CAA Commissioner’s Honour Roll Award in both the spring and fall of 2020, as well as the spring of 2021.
Before joining Villanova, Williams played for Sacred Heart for three seasons, appearing in 28 games with nine starts. At Sacred Heart, he made 27 solo tackles and 8 assisted tackles.
Following his collegiate career, he signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022 before being released in mid-August. In 2023, he played one game for the Philadelphia Stars in the United States Football League.
