YOUNG striker Rohan Vaughan has joined QPR’s Development Squad for next season.
Rohan, 19, joins W12 after two years at Burnley and a successful trial time with the R’s near the end of the 2023/24 season.
During his tenure at Turf Moor, Vaughan primarily played for the Clarets’ Under-18s and, ironically, scored in the FA Youth Cup against Rangers in January.
“QPR really impressed me with how much time they’ve invested in me and wanted me to be here,” he stated on www.qpr.co.uk.
“It seemed crazy not to seize this opportunity – a fresh task and a new environment. I am really looking forward to that.
“I’m a huge number nine who can hold the ball up and sprint in behind.
“There is a clear strategy for my development, and I believe that if I can use the coaching and tools given to me down here, I can truly advance my career and come closer to the first team.
“That’s my aim – I want to be around the first team at some stage.”
QPR CEO Christian Nourry added, “We are excited to see Rohan’s progress at the football club, particularly his out-of-possession work.”
“He has displayed good finishing talents, which can be improved at QPR. From a positional profile perspective, he has talents that will be up to our coaching staff to develop and make smart.
runs while also being good in hold-up and linking play.”
