To remain in the capital, the Bosnian is expected to accept a pay decrease.

Begovic is totally responsible for making this decision because he is in a predicament

where he controls his destiny, and he clearly needs to make a decision in the next weeks. Bournemouth’s appeal is understandable, given they are certain to offer a higher income and the opportunity to interact with Premier League players on a regular basis. Meanwhile, one advantage of QPR is that they are likely to be able to provide first-team football.

So it will be intriguing to see how this unfolds, and Begovic will obviously take his time before making a choice.

QPR’s Summer Plans
It’s an exciting time to be a QPR supporter because of the extraordinary job that Cifuentes has done since his arrival, and he had the team playing wonderful football over the closing weeks of the season as

They deserved to be stopped. Now it’s time to support him in the summer, and he’ll undoubtedly have huge ideas as he seeks to develop a club capable of competing for a playoff spot, even if it will take time.

Sorting out who will be number one next season is undoubtedly a priority, therefore he will no doubt be pushing Begovic for a decision as soon as possible, as they will need to find a replacement keeper if he leaves.

However, the club will be aware that he may leave, and they will have prospective successors lined up.

From the fans’ standpoint, some will believe the club should be moving ahead, so there won’t be too much disappointment if Begovic leaves, even if they value his performances this season.

The budget at QPR may not be as large as others in the league, so Cifuentes may have to negotiate, but the fans will have complete faith in him, and it will be fascinating to see if he looks at the Scandinavian market given his experience.
