Sheffield Wednesday’s defender, Gabriel Otegbayo, has signed a new deal with the club.
The club announced today that Gabriel Otegbayo has extended his contract with Wednesday. The 19-year-old got his first professional contract with the Owls after a successful trial period during the 2023/24 season.

Since joining the Under-21s, Otegbayo’s consistent performances have helped Andy Holdsworth’s team finish strongly. “The 21s finished third in the Professional Development League, one point shy of a play-off berth, after winning seven of their last nine games. Otegbayo scored in the Owls’ 4-0 victory over Wigan in March, capping off a remarkable season.As a result of his excellent form and good debut season at Middlewood Road, Otegbayo will continue his development with Wednesday.”
