Charlton Athletic are fans of Theo Bair, but the South London Press understands the odds are stacked against them signing the Motherwell striker.
The Canadian-born forward has 15 goals and six assists in the Scottish Premiership this season, and the Addicks have kept an eye on him.
However, our tabloid was told earlier this month that Bair was “highly unlikely” to join SE7, with a number of clubs in higher leagues also interested in the 24-year-old.
Scottish media today linked Bair to Championship clubs Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers, stating he may cost around £1 million.
Bair has twice been capped for his country. Charlton boss Nathan Jones is determined to improve his side’s spine with quality reinforcements, both defensively (including a new goalkeeper) and offensively.
