BUSY Rotherham United have completed their fourth summer of the close season with the signing of left-back Reece James.
James, who spent a loan spell with the Millers during Steve Evans’ first season in charge at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in 2014-15, will join after his Sheffield Wednesday contract expired.
He signed a two-year deal.
The Owls just released the 30-year-old, along with George Byers, Lee Gregory, Ciaran Brennan, Tyreeq Bakinson, and Juan Delgado.
James’ arrival comes after the signings of Portsmouth right-back Joe Rafferty, Northampton Town midfielder Shaun McWilliams, and former Peterborough United attacker Jonson Clarke-Harris.
James, who was born in Bacup, was previously loaned out to Huddersfield and spent two seasons with Doncaster from 2019 to 2021.
James, who was promoted to the Owls in 2022-23, appeared 11 times last season, the last in early February.
