LATEST UPDATE : Blackburn Rovers are now leading Bristol City in a race to sign 15-goal attacker

According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City are interested in signing Motherwell attacker Theo Bair.
Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City are both linked with a summer move for the Scottish Premiership forward as they seek to strengthen their respective offensive squads. The 24-year-old is under contract with Fir Park until June 2025. Bair, a Canada international with two caps in his career, joined his current club little over a year ago and has since established himself as a significant player. He has made 40 appearances for them in all competitions, 33 of which have been in the league, scoring 15 goals and assisting six times.

According to the Daily Mail, his recent form has put him on the radar of Championship clubs Rovers and the Robins. Blackburn Rovers and Bristol City are interested in the Ottawa-born attacker, who has previously played for Ottawa Royals, Capital United, and West Ottawa SC before joining Vancouver Whitecaps.

He progressed through the MLS club’s academy ranks and represented several youth levels before playing 38 competitive games for their first squad, scoring three goals.

The 6ft 3inc attacker also went on loan to HamKam in Norway to gain experience.

St Johnstone then pulled him away from Canada permanently for the first time in 2022, but he struggled to make an impression on the Saints.

Bair spent a year and a half at McDiarmid Park, but only scored once in 34 appearances before being released.

Motherwell gave him a second opportunity last year, and he has since become the club’s key attacking force.

What’s next?
Blackburn Rovers may see Bair as someone to bring competition and depth to their offensive lineup.

Under former Birmingham City manager John Eustace, the Lancashire club secured second-tier status last season and will be looking for new players.

Bristol City are preparing for their first full season under Liam Manning, who formerly worked at MK Dons and Oxford United, and will be hoping for a play-off spot.
