BREAKING NEWS : Swindon Two announced 48 years old as their new manager

Mark Kennedy, the former Lincoln, has been named Swindon’s next head coach.

The Robins signed Kennedy following a disappointing 2023-24 season in which they finished 19th in Sky Bet League Two after dismissing Michael Flynn in January.

Kennedy has been out of work since leaving Lincoln in October, but he previously spent 18 months with the Imps and an eight-month stint in charge of Macclesfield in 2020.

Mark Kennedy appointed new Swindon Town head coach - BBC Sport ‘I’m incredibly excited to be here at Swindon Town, and I’m looking forward to the project that is now underway,’ Kennedy told the official club website.

‘I also believe it is critical that we look ahead and plan for the future with the exciting plans here at this sleeping giant of a football club, which I am convinced we can all achieve if we all pull in the same direction.’
Swindon’s head of football, Jamie Russell, added: “The appointment of Mark Kennedy as our new head coach is an opportunity for positive change and progress throughout Swindon.”
