JUST IN : Rotherham United assess midfield options after senior man elects to leave

ROTHERHAM UNITED are considering a range of midfield options after failing to persuade Jamie Lindsay to stay for a chance at promotion back to the Championship in 2024-25.
The Scot, whose contract expires at the end of next month, has been in talks about signing a new agreement after being offered new terms.

However, the club has revealed that he would be leaving to pursue a ‘new challenge’. Lindsay appeared in over 150 games for United since signing from Ross County in 2019.

He was linked with a move to Wrexham during the winter transfer window.

Last season, the 28-year-old appeared 22 times despite being plagued by injury.

Lindsay was sidelined for the first four months of 2023-24 due to an Achilles injury, and he made his season debut in a 1-1 tie against Leeds United on November 24.
