LATEST NEWS : Wolves now close to signing ‘fantastic’ Liverpool’s 25-year-old star joins Gary O’Neil’s shake-up

Liverpool may be interested in adding a lot of new players this summer, while Wolves may benefit from the acquisition of one key periphery player.

The Reds are preparing for a big summer window, with fans expecting to see new faces arrive. Equally essential for the Reds this summer is how they manage their outgoings.
Thiago and Joel Matip are among the players who have already left, and Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz have also been linked with big money moves away.

According to TeamTalk, Wolves are interested in signing Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Wolves want to sign. Caoimhin Kelleher of Liverpool.
According to TeamTalk, seasoned Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa is expected to leave the club, and Gary O’Neil has compiled a list of potential successors.

On that list is Liverpool’s Kelleher, who is likely to be allowed to depart this summer if a good offer is made. Liverpool is said to seek roughly £30 million to sell Kelleher.

The Irish stopper has long played second fiddle to Alisson and performed admirably this season whilst the Brazilian was injured.

Indeed, Kelleher’s performances impressed, with veteran Premier League player Don Hutchison praising both Kelleher and midfielder Harvey Elliott as fantastic.

“To be honest, I don’t see much in it. Liverpool hasn’t looked very solid in the last half-dozen games I’ve witnessed. “They’ve always passed up opportunities,” Hutchison added.

“Kelleher is in terrific shape, by the way. Everyone talks about Alisson being a world-class goalkeeper and the best, but Kelleher has done some work. Even Harvey Elliott, I believe he’s been great while Mo Salah has been out.”

Kelleher needs to move and become the number one. There is certainly some uncertainty over Alisson Becker’s future at the moment, and Kelleher may be waiting to see how that unfolds.

However, Kelleher should move on and find a position where he can be the first choice.

He’s waited patiently at Anfield, done the job when necessary, and now deserves the opportunity to move on to another club and be the main man.

Kelleher would undoubtedly be sought for by a number of Premier League clubs, not only Wolves.

The £30 million cost is a significant ask. However, in today’s world, it’s not too awful for a quality goalie who is still in his prime.
