A left-sided centre-back connected with a move to Blackpool in 2024 is in negotiations with another team.
Notts County are apparently in talks to sign a player linked with a move to Blackpool during the January transfer window.
Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke, previously of Sky Sports, reports that the Magpies are in talks to sign Terrell Thomas, a free agent after leaving Charlton Athletic. He said that the League Two club is ‘expected to make a bid’ for the free agent. Football Insider revealed in December that the Seasiders, along with Reading, were interested in signing Thomas six months ago. Barnsley and Wigan Athletic were also added to the race, although Thomas now appears to be headed there. Meadow Lane The five-time Saint Lucia international had 43 appearances in all
competitions, 32 of which were starts. He started the final few games of the season as Charlton easily secured their third-tier status, but Nathan Jones chose not to retain him on as he seeks to establish his control over the squad. A move to Notts County would provide Thomas the opportunity to play in League Two for the first time. He began his career at Charlton, then moved on to Woking for two loan periods before joining Wigan in League One. He fell back down to the non-league to play for Sutton United before returning to the third
tier to play for AFC Wimbledon and Crewe Alexandra.
Thomas made two Reading appearances in 2021/22, returning to The Valley a year later after beginning his career in South London. Thomas has World Cup qualifying matches with St. Lucia against Haiti and Aruba, so a move to Notts County may not be imminent.
