Derby County could land an ‘exceptional’ player for next to nothing after Man Utd update

Derby County could sign a ‘outstanding’ teenager for close to nothing, according to an update from Manchester United.

Derby, after being promoted back to the Championship, will need to acquire more players. In an ideal world, Paul Warne would have like to preserve the nucleus of his promotion-winning side, but after losing six first-team players, the Rams manager requires upgrades in every position.

Warne describes the Championship as the toughest he’s seen in years, and he needs quality reinforcements, particularly in attack.

Derby scored the joint-fewest goals among teams who finished in the play-offs (77), and with just James Collins and Conor Washington as genuine strikers, their troubles in the Championship would worsen.

It’s not surprising they’re seeking for attacks.

Manchester United fans have a lot to say as Omari Forson decides to quit for free, some saw it coming

They should sign one of Manchester United’s excellent young players during the transfer window.
Omari Forson could leave Manchester United.
Omari Forson made his Manchester United debut against Wolves in February, coming off the bench to help Kobbie Mainoo score the game-winning goal.
The world appeared to be the teenager’s oyster, yet just four months later, Forson might be leaving Old Trafford.

According to trade guru Fabrizio Romano, the 19-year-old will depart the club as a free agent in June after failing to agree on a new contract.

It’s huge news because academy director Nick Cox claimed Forson showed “exceptional resilience” during his journey to the first team, demonstrating that he isn’t just talented.

He has the ball at his feet.
Derby County might benefit from Omari Forson’s speed and athleticism, particularly in the last third, which Warne has shown a need for.

The teenager, who can play on both flanks or centrally, has lightning-fast speed, upper-body strength, and power to get past his opponents.

Derby lacked the skill and finesse to break down defences at times last season, but Forson’s unpredictable nature would ensure that was not the case.

The Rams will have fewer scoring opportunities in the Championship, and playing the teenager centrally or down the wing would increase their threat significantly.

The 2004-born attacker has also received high praise from former Derby player Tom Huddlestone, who has compared him to Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

Huddlestone told SPORTbible, “He reminds me of the way Bukayo Saka plays.”

“He’s good with both feet and can finish very well, especially with his left foot.”

This is high praise from the 37-year-old, as Saka is widely regarded as one of the best young players in the world, so Forson will face high expectations.

Many people are surprised that he may be departing Old Trafford so soon, but United’s loss would be another club’s gain this summer.
