DONE DEAL : Chesterfield have announced the signing of another potential star

Chesterfield have strengthened their defensive options by signing left-back Lewis Gordon on a one-year contract with the option to extend.

Gordon joined the Spireites after his contract with Bristol Rovers expired. Gordon, 23, played 22 games for Bristol Rovers in League One last season.

He highlighted his excitement about joining Chesterfield, adding, “I’m thrilled to be here; it’s a fantastic club to be a part of. The manager spoke with me and gave me confidence; I can’t wait to get started.”

Gordon started his career at Watford, progressing through their system until signing his first professional deal in 2018. Despite not making a first-team appearance for Watford, he earned valuable experience on loan with St Albans City.

After leaving Watford in 2020, Gordon joined Brentford, where he made his FA Cup debut and appeared frequently for the B team. Following his release from Brentford in 2022, he joined Bristol Rovers, where he made 73 appearances over two seasons.
