DONE DEAL : Auburn Tigers Add 4-Star Cornerback Commitment from Tennessee

On Thursday, a four-star cornerback committed to Auburn, after receiving offers from Michigan, Clemson, and Florida, among others. Auburn Tigers surged into the top ten of 247Sports’ team recruiting rankings after receiving a commitment from Ravenwood High School’s four-star cornerback Donovan Starr.

“You want to go where people want you and where you’re a priority, so that’s what stands out to me about Auburn,” Starr told Caleb Jones of Rivals.

247Sports ranks Starr as the No. 27 cornerback prospect in the country. His pledge moves the Tigers up to No. 9 overall. He reported receiving offers from Michigan, Clemson, Florida, and Tennessee, among others.

He is Auburn’s 12th commitment to the Class of 2025, and their eighth 4-star or above player. The Tigers are focusing heavily on defense early in the process. Six of their top eight pledges are on defense, including 5-star defensive tackle Malik Autry from neighboring Opelika, Alabama.
