Caitlin Clark Likely Not On Team USA Summer Olympics Women’s Basketball Team – Report

Caitlin Clark is unlikely to make the 12-person Team USA women’s basketball roster for the Summer Olympics, according to The Athletic, citing multiple sources.

The popular Indiana Fever rookie, the NCAA’s all-time top scorer, is being passed over in favor of veterans.

According to reports, the roster will include athletes A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Alyssa Thomas, Napheesa Collier, Jewell Loyd, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Sabrina Ionescu, Chelsea Gray, and Kahleah Copper.

The American women should be a favorite in Paris.

Clark has an outside chance of making the squad as an injury replacement. She missed Team USA’s tryouts in the spring due to her Iowa team’s strong performance in the NCAA tournament.
