The Whites just missed out on automatic promotion by finishing third, and the Yorkshire club’s heartache was compounded when they lost in the play-off final last month. Driouech has recently been linked with a move to Leeds United. Excelsior’s youthful winger appeared in 26 Eredivisie games last season, scoring six goals and assisting six others.
Swansea City previously sought the Dutch-born Moroccan youth international in the Championship.
According to recent sources, Leeds United are interested in signing the winger. The Whites are joined by numerous other teams, including top-tier clubs PSV and Sevilla.
Meeting the asking price.
According to the report, Excelsior are looking for a compensation between €3.5 million and €4 million for their 22-year-old player this summer.
It’s unclear whether any of the interested parties are willing to meet that demand, but the child is undeniably talented.
Leeds United may struggle to compete with clubs such as Sevilla, which can provide top-tier football and the chance of European play, but the Whites may be able to entice Driouech with game time.
