DONE DEAL : Luton reportedly offer a contract to ex-Fulham and Bristol Rovers youngster

Jordan Iwhiwhu, a former Bristol Rovers academy forward, is thought to have been offered a deal by Luton Town after scoring four goals against Hatters U17s recently.

The 17-year-old joined the Memorial Stadium’s youth setup in March 2022, alongside his younger brother Excel, but left earlier this year. During his time with the Gas, Iwhiwhu also represented Fulham U18s, making his Premier League debut in a 5-0 win over Norwich City in February, playing 64 minutes before being substituted.

He went on to score four goals in one game against the Hatters U17s later that month, resulting in an entertaining 5-5 draw. Town, who featured Dominic Dos Santos Martins and Dylan Stitt, won thanks to Jamie Odegah’s double, with a trialist also scoring and Matthew Takawira on target. Iwhiwhu, who, according to Bristol Live, will sign a professional deal with Town’s Development squad in the coming weeks, was the standout Cottagers player of the day, scoring all but one of their goals.

The Hatters have downsized their U21 squad, releasing strikers Josh Allen, Tobias Braney, and Millar Matthews-Lewis, the latter following a productive loan move to Farnborough. Jack Bateson, Josh Odell-Bature, Jacob Pinnington, and Dominic Dos Santos Martins signed contract extensions at Kenilworth Road, however Oliver Camis, Archie Heron, and Ben Tompkins were also released.
