BREAKING NEWS : Sheffield Wednesday boss shares ‘dream’ with Owls chairman Dejphon Chansiri

Danny Röhl, Sheffield Wednesday’s manager, says he and Dejphon Chansiri both want to see the Owls play in the Premier League.
Wednesday survived in the Championship on the penultimate day last season after Röhl oversaw a spectacular turnaround in fortunes following his hiring in October, and he now faces a busy summer that will include a significant rebuild after a number of departures.

The German has stated that he wants to work at the greatest level, and Wednesday fans will be happy to hear him discuss reaching the top tier of English football while in charge at Hillsborough.

Speaking on the Training Ground Guru podcast, the Owls manager was asked if he believed the chairman was on board with his ambition following the momentum created last season. Röhl believes this. “I hope so,” he responded. “I believe this was the reason he opted to prolong my contract. Both the owner and I have long desired to compete in the Premier League. If we take excellent moves ahead, I believe there is a chance.”

He also stated on the show, “We have to accomplish a lot of things properly. We need to play good football, sign good players, and gradually expand the club, including facilities. If we do this, why not?”

Wednesday will return to Middlewood Road in a few weeks for preseason testing in S6, followed by camps in St. George’s Park in England and another in Germany.
