BREAKING NEWS : Callum Styles makes Barnsley FC history at European Championships

CALLUM Styles made history on Sunday night, becoming the first Barnsley FC player to compete in the European Championships.

The 24-year-old did not play in Hungary’s opening two group matches against Germany and Switzerland due to injury. However, he started against Scotland on Sunday night, as the Magyars scored a goal in the 100th minute to put Steve Clarke’s team out of the competition.

He was booked inside 18 minutes for lunging aggressively at Aston Villa’s John McGinn before being replaced in the 61st minute. Transfer news: Callum Styles signs for Sunderland from Barnsley - BBC Sport

It means Styles and his colleagues have three points in the group, but they must wait to see if they qualify for the knockout stages as one of the top four third-placed teams.
