Football Insider claims that Everton is certain to sign Wilfred Ndidi, a standout for the Super Eagles.
According to the report, negotiations between the Merseysiders and the Leicester City midfielder are going well, and the team wants to close a deal as soon as possible to allow him to join them for preseason.
The 27-year-old is reportedly amenable to relocating to Goodison Park in order to work with Sean Dyche, who wants to improve the Toffees’ squad for the upcoming campaign.
In an attempt to strengthen their midfield this summer, Everton has brought in Anglo-Nigerian Tim Iroegbunam. They are also in close proximity to acquiring Iliman Ndiaye from Olympique Marseille and may soon add Ndidi to their roster.
The Nigerian international has unquestionable Premier League experience despite playing in the English Championship the previous season. Before Leicester City was relegated in 2023, he made 192 appearances for them.
Ndidi is a potentially good acquisition for the Toffees, especially considering that his contract will expire on June 30 and he will become a free agent.
In addition to his evident Premier League experience, he will infuse Dyche’s midfield with extra dynamism and energy. He was an attacking player for the Foxes during the previous season in the Championship.
