Clinton Mola, a former Reading defender, has stated that having a ‘ambitious Chairman’ was one of the reasons he chose to join Bristol Rovers.
The 23-year-old appeared 35 times for the Royals last season and improved as the season progressed, but was not granted a new contract by the club.
The full-back signed a three-year contract with the Pirates, with an option for a fourth year, and cited feeling wanted and a ‘ambitious’ hierarchy as selling elements for the club.
“Joining Bristol Rovers is an exciting opportunity for me,” Mola informed the team. “When I heard the Club was looking for me, I was quite interested. The Club made me feel really wanted, which played a huge influence in my choice to join. “With the ambition that comes from the management, the coaching staff, and above all, this is a very positive club to be a part of. When you have an ambitious Chairman and Board of Directors, that trickles down to the rest of the Club. That is one of the most pleasant aspects of my time here.” Reading are one of only two League One clubs that have yet to begin their transfer business, as pre-season training begins today.
