Barrow have signed attacker Andy Dallas on a season-long loan from League One club Barnsley. Dallas is Barrow’s fourth new signing this summer, joining ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Dallas, 24, scored 41 goals for Solihull Moors and Chesterfield FC from 2021 to 2023.
The Scottish forward began his career with Rangers, where he signed his first professional contract in 2016 and made four first-team appearances. During his tenure with Rangers, he went on loan to Stenhousemuir and Greenock Morton.
Dallas joined Cambridge United in 2019, but it wasn’t until a loan spell at Weymouth in the National League that he found his true form, scoring 12 goals in just half a season.
This accomplishment resulted in a permanent move to Solihull Moors in 2021, where he maintained his remarkable goal scoring record.
Dallas reflected on his move to Barrow, saying, “From the first chat, I knew that Barrow AFC was where I wanted to come and play football in 2024/25. I’m simply happy to get my head down and drive myself and the team ahead. I wanted to come in for the first day of preseason, and I’m glad I made the decision so early.”
Dallas described his playing style, saying, “I’m a forward who likes to play on the shoulder and get in behind.” I work hard for the club, and I definitely want to score a lot of goals!”
Head Coach: Stephen Clemence emphasized his enthusiasm for the signing, saying, “We’re happy that Andy has decided to join us. There was plenty of competition for his autograph. He wants to improve and grow as a player. He has the potential to stretch defenses and properly finish with both feet, so I’m excited to work with him.
