The forward, who previously worked with Warne at Rotherham, joined the Swans last summer in a deal worth approximately £2.5 million. He concluded the season as the club’s joint top scorer, alongside Jamal Lowe, with nine goals across all competitions.According to other sources, Stoke City, QPR, and Blackburn Rovers were all interested in the forward.

Yates’ exit is likely to allow Swansea to make a bid for their own forward, who appears to be moving to Derby.

Their manager, Luke Williams, has been connected with a reunion with Notts County attacker Macauley Langstaff, who is also the subject of a bid from Millwall.
