Wolves looking to sign ex-Premier League star
As Birmingham Live initially reported, Wolves are interested in signing Wilfred Zaha from Galatasaray. According to the publication, Crystal Palace and West Ham have joined Wolves in their pursuit of the Ivorian winger.

Wilfried Zaha Profile

Galatasaray is reportedly willing to let the 31-year-old leave for a modest fee this summer, despite just bringing Zaha to Turkey a year ago. The explanation behind this move is the winger’s exorbitant salary, which presently stands at a staggering £118,00 per week, according to Capology.

Leading sources at Galatasaray have advised Premier League clubs that Zaha will be available for a reduced fee this summer as the Turkish champions seek to offload the Ivorian’s salaries during the transfer window. According to Birmingham Live, Galatasaray might buy Zaha out of his contract totally, allowing him to leave for free.

Zaha’s prospective arrival will delight many Molineux fans. The 31-year-old is well-equipped to contribute significantly to Gary O’Neil’s squad, having scored 68 Premier League goals in nine seasons at Crystal Palace. Zaha’s tenure with the Eagles earned him plaudits from around English football. In 2019, Jurgen Klopp praised the winger after his Liverpool team met Palace, telling the press: “They are really good at counter attacks and set pieces, Wilfried Zaha is a world-class player and he gets into a one-on-one situation and we’re one down.” If Wolves can complete a move for Zaha this summer, they could be obtaining a player with proven Premier League quality at a reasonable price.
