The departure comes less than a year after Cresswell signed a four-year contract with Elland Road. Cresswell joins a growing number of players leaving Elland Road as Farke seeks to rebuild his first-team group ahead of the 2024/25 season. A United statement read: “Leeds United can confirm Charlie Cresswell has today joined Toulouse FC on a permanent basis for an unknown amount.

“The center defender will immediately join the French Ligue 1 team, ending his long association with the Whites after progressing through our academy age groups.

“After recently spending time away on loan from Elland Road and with first team opportunities limited, Cresswell will now continue his career at Stadium de Toulouse.”Charlie leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Leeds United, and we appreciate his contributions to the club, both on and off the pitch.”
