One Class of 2026 recruit is early in his process, while a Class of 2025 edge is taking his time making his decision. Recruiting for the Class of 2025 has been very good for Virginia Tech football coach Brent Pry. Currently has 14 commits, two four-stars, and 10 are from the state of Virginia. The third-year Hokies coach is hoping to continue to make strides with recruiting in the Commonwealth going forward with the Class of 2026 and beyond. Right now, Virginia Tech has one commit in the Class of 2026 with Nazareth, Pa. quarterback Peton Falzone committing to the Hokies on June 29. made an impression on some of them. Class of 2026 DT JaySean Richardson, an in-state recruit, has had numerous offers and now has 15. He does have one from Virginia Tech, and he went to Blacksburg in April for Spring Practice.
Richardson, a 6-foot-0, 280-pounder from Richmond, Va., is also attracting attention from ACC rivals Wake Forest and Virginia early in the recruitment process. Rising juniors will have a busy fall season attending games, and Richarson will make gameday excursions to Wake Forest, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The 17th-ranked player in Maryland according to 247Sports, visited Virginia Tech on June 21, his last in a busy month of visits. He also visited Penn State (May 31), Rutgers (June 7), Duke (June 14), and Indiana (June 18) before coming to Blacksburg. He is expected to make a decision sometime soon currently in the Class of 2025, the Hokies already have commitments from edge rushers Sherrod Henderson and Zeke Chinwike. Adding Kemajou would add more depth to a position That has become a huge deal for Virginia Tech.
