‘Official contact’ – Brighton set to battle Man United and Dortmund for ‘€30m’ Euro 2024 star

Brighton & Hove Albion has made ‘formal contact’ with the representatives of Fenerbahçe defender and Turkish international Ferdi Kadıoğlu over a transfer to the Amex.
According to Turkish transfer specialist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, the Seagulls are among three clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old.

According to Sabuncuoğlu, Albion has reached out to the left-back’s representatives about signing him for the 2024-25 season. He posted as follows: “Brighton made official contact with the player’s side to add Ferdi Kadıoğlu to their squad and asked about his situation!”

Sabuncuoğlu also reported that European heavyweights Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are interested in Kadıoğlu.

Both clubs have the defender on their respective transfer ‘list’, according to Sabuncuoğlu, but neither side has submitted an official bid yet. Dortmund is reportedly turned off by Fenerbahçe’s hefty transfer demands.

Sabuncuoğlu tweeted that Borussia Dortmund, interested in Ferdi Kadıoğlu, has contacted different names for the left-back due to Fenerbahçe’s request for 30 million euros.
