Caitlin Clark, a former Iowa Hawkeye and current Indiana Fever rookie, and LSU coach Kim Mulkey have played in two historic NCAA games in the last two years.
The first was the 2023 NCAA National Championship game, when Angel Reese taunted Clark seconds before winning the championship, cementing their relationship.
But Clark exacted revenge on Reese and Mulkey in the 2024 Elite Eight, scoring 41 points to terminate LSU’s season and Reese’s college career.
An angry argument between Clark and Mulkey following the second game emerged on social media Tuesday, raising many eyebrows.
During the postgame handshakes, Mulkey cranks Clark’s neck downward to say something into her ear, according to an X post by user @wafflesreese.
The title of the post reads: “I find myself randomly thinking about this moment, like why did Kim grab Caitlin’s neck like that” .

The post received 50,000 views in less than 12 hours. And fans are laughing at what Mulkey was doing.
“I had to let her know! “Coach Mulkey would have cooked you back in the day, Caitlin,” one admirer quipped.
“She said I’m so glad you’re leaving, lol,” added another.
Fortunately for Mulkey, she will never have to encounter Clark again.
