Rich Hughes has informed the Fratton faithful that Pompey are close to signing new players.
And he reiterated that ‘3-4 deals’ are presently in the works as the Championship season approaches.

The Blues have signed five new players this summer, the most recent being Sammy Silvera on loan from Middlesbrough. That was 11 days earlier, after Pompey had spent the previous week at a training camp in Croatia with Hughes in attendance. Nonetheless, their athletic director is pleased with how their chase of a number of new recruits is going.
