Jazz Chisholm Jr. is generating interest ahead of the MLB trade deadline.
Although putting Chisholm back into the infield during the season would be a significant change, having him as a utility player will increase his value to a new team. He’s a good hitter who should improve with serious threats surrounding him, but his primary worth stems from his speed and occasional big plays.

The Yankees may need more than Chisholm to turn things around. Soto’s approaching free agency adds even more pressure to make the playoffs, and falling short this season may mean losing him for nothing, a nightmarish scenario. Meanwhile, Chisholm and relief pitcher Tanner Scott are the most likely trade candidates for the Marlins, but there will undoubtedly be others as Miami dismantles another postseason core.
