Rotherham United striker Tom Eaves is having a medical ahead of a move to Northampton Town, according to Football Insider X.
Rotherham United are reportedly planning to release the attacker this summer. They were demoted from the Championship last season, along with Birmingham City and Huddersfield Town, and are hoping for instant promotion from League One. Eaves, 32, has a year left on his contract with the South Yorkshire club after joining in 2022. He has since made 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals.

Rotherham United have acquired a slew of new recruits in recent years, so parting ways with Eaves will free both room and finances in their roster.
He may struggle to break into their starting XI in the coming season, competing with Jordan Hugill, Sam Nombe, Josh Kayode, and Jonson Clarke-Harris.
As a young player, Eaves played for Crewe Alexandra, Oldham Athletic, and Bolton Wanderers. Yeovil Town then signed him before he moved to Gillingham in 2017.
He was prolific with the Gills, scoring 40 goals in 97 outings before joining Hull City.
Eaves spent three years with the Tigers, scoring 18 goals in 108 games and helped them achieve promotion in his second year. He joined Rotherham United after leaving East Yorkshire, however he is currently widely linked with a move elsewhere.
