Cincinnati — Bill Tobin, a longtime Bengals player personnel executive, died on Friday, the organization announced.
Tobin, 83, began working as a scouting consultant for the Bengals in 2003. He worked in the personnel department till 2022. “He was a true NFL success story,” Bengals President Mike Brown stated. “He was a good person, and I regarded him as a good friend. I respected whatever Bill said. I just accepted it as given. He had a keen eye for players and their potential. If he said the individual was a good player, then that’s all I needed to know. “We’ll miss him.”
Duke Tobin, Bill’s son, has worked for the Bengals since 1999 and is currently the Director of Player Personnel.
