About five Championship clubs are working hard to sign Brighton forward this summer.

Mark O’Mahony, a Brighton forward, has surfaced as a target for several Championship clubs this summer, according to Football Insider.

The Premier League club is looking for the appropriate Championship loan for the 19-year-old Irish forward, who they hope to develop through first-team football.
Several clubs are reportedly interested in O’Mahony, who broke into the Brighton first team last season, making his debut against Burnley in April.

O’Mahony joined Brighton from Cork City in January 2023 and is well-regarded by the South Coast team.Ireland U21 striker Mark O'Mahony signs new three-year deal with Brighton | Irish Independent

Brighton hopes O’Mahony can imitate Evan Ferguson.

O’Mahony was prolific in the Premier League 2 last season before being promoted to the first squad, scoring ten goals and assisting two in 11 appearances. It’s uncertain how long Ferguson will stay at the club, but the 19-year-old has piqued the interest of many Premier League big names.
If Ferguson leaves the club in the near future, a smart loan deal might put O’Mahony in strong shape to succeed him.
