Nick Piecoro writes: “More than likely, the Arizona Diamondbacks’ recent hot streak has removed any directional uncertainty from their trade deadline approach. … the Diamondbacks … look like buyers. Maybe not super-aggressive, all-in buyers, but certainly a club that will look to add. Of course, that could still change … but it feels like GM Mike Hazen’s course is more or less settled. What seems less clear, however, is whether he will need to add starting pitching. That question might be one Hazen considers up until the final day, while gathering information both on the field and behind the scenes.”
