SAD NEWS : Cincinnati Reds just confirmed the death of their key player after

CINCINNATI — Former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Don Gullet has died. He was 73 years old. The Reds posted to “X” to share the passing of Gullett, who died on Wednesday. Advertisement The Hall of Fame pitcher played for the team from 1970 to 1976 and later on served as a pitching coach for the Reds from 1993 to 2005. In 2002, he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame. Gullett won three World Series championships, two with the Reds and one with the Yankees. “Don dedicated 24 years to this franchise as a player, coach and minor league instructor. An anchor on the pitching staff of one of the greatest baseball teams in history, his contributions to our rich tradition, our city and his community will never be forgotten,” Reds CEO Bob Castellini said in a statement. The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum released a statement, saying, “We are saddened to hear about the death of one of our Hall of Famers, Don Gullett.
